“Normal is a setting on a dryer”

As a neurodivergent child trying to find their way in very neurotypical world, I was constantly asking my parents why I couldn’t just be ‘normal’ and the harder I tried to be ‘normal’ the further out of reach the concept of normal seemed to be.

I grew up and the concept of normal diminished. I found that I, weird and off-beat as I am, want to fit in with people of the same kin and bookkeeping is just the way I do it.

I want to focus on the individual and their values. I want to design a bookkeeping system that works best for their job and their brain to ease the stress of finances so you can focus on your business.

Off-beat

  • Marijuana is new, fast-growing industry in Vermont, which is also highly regulated, and because it's still federally illegal can provide some difficulties with banks and bookkeeping software. We can wade through the financial and legal regulations for you!

  • The stereotype of the 'starving artist' shouldn't be the norm; it's a reflection of how our productivity-obsessed society values art. Many artists are already on a shoestring budget, but I hope I can teach you the basic bookkeeping tools you need so you only need to see me once a year during tax season.

  • Accounting should have the reputation for being as sexy as it actually is--okay maybe that's just me. Here, you need not fear the judgment and shaming towards sex that is found in so many other 'professional' financial services.

  • If you've gotten this far you probably have an understanding of my values: capitalism implies infinite growth on a planet with limited resources. I approach business with sustainability in mind--for you and the planet--once you reach the level of business growth you want, how do we keep you there?

If this approach speaks to you, let's chat.
